The Brendel family (pictured) has three gold-division soccer champions in the house, and they were all coached by Dad. The oldest three Brendel girls each played for winning SBMSA teams this season. Eleanor (on left) played for the 6U Kicks, Claire (on right) played for the 8U Sharks, and Audrey (second from left) played for the 10U Waves. “I didn’t necessarily go into the season with the intent to coach three teams, but my girls each wanted me to coach them, and I couldn’t say no,” said Coach/Dad Tim (second from right). He says he could not have handled the time management without his amazing co-coaches and wife Kerry Brendel. The coaches focused on setting high expectations and then motivating the girls to constantly improve with fun, energetic drills.
