The Chic Boutique Runway Show and Luncheon, themed Prancing with a Purpose and presented by the Salvation Army Auxiliary, raised over $6 million. A horse out front of the River Oaks Country Club greeted the guests to pay respect to honoree Judi McGee, an avid horse lover whose farm hosted an Easter egg hunt with 7,000 eggs for 250 underprivileged children from Boys & Girls Harbor. Gina Saour, auxiliary president, welcomed the guests at the sold out event that spilled into the adjacent room. Event chair Darlene Clark and committee members Leigh Newton Alvarez, Lynn Clayton, Tammy McDade, Dev Stern and Connie Wallace were impressed with the quality and bargains of the recycled designer fashions that were sold later the next day in the pop-up Chic Boutique.
