Ellie, age 6 mos.
Australian Cattle Dog Mix
Carew Street

Hello, my name is Ellie, and I was adopted from the Sugar Land Animal Shelter when I was 7 weeks old. My mom, a red heeler, came in pregnant with health issues – a true damsel in distress. When I was adopted, I weighed 2 pounds. Now I weigh a whopping 25 pounds, and I’m not done growing. My owner/mom says I was meant to be her dog/daughter because we have similar body types, short and stout. When most people see me, they comment on my ears that stick straight up. I think I was supposed to grow into them. I have more energy than I know what to do with. Sometimes I just run back and forth in the kitchen until I feel less antsy. I really enjoy my walks every day, and, I have to admit, I’m addicted to attention. As long as someone is talking to me or letting me jump on them, I am one happy pup.

Look at that tongue! I love it. Also the ears. Don’t worry if people say they are big. They suit you Ellie.
