1 CommentSo it’s been almost two weeks since I moved into Austin, Texas, where I now live with 33 fraternity brothers in the UT Sigma Alpha Mu house. So many thoughts ran through my head the week before I moved in. Would I have privacy? Would people always be partying? What would it be like living with over 30 of my closest friends? Although hesitant, and nervous, I went in with an extremely positive attitude.
After 2 weeks, its safe to say that this year is going to be insane. There is always at least one person in the house who wants to do the same thing as I do. I don’t go ten minutes without being challenged to Madden 2011 or Fifa World Cup. A day hasn’t gone by without a poker tournament or a blackjack game. A night hasn’t gone by without, at the very least, a small get together at the house. It really is the life. We do school work during the day, and we relax at night. As the semester goes on, I am sure there will be bumps in the road. There will be people who get on my nerves, and times when I really want my own privacy. But for a person with my hobbies and personality, this is the life. 2 fantasy drafts in two weeks? Basketball at the house every day? Experiencing the college life with all of my best friends? Sign me up.
